Some great news if you’re a fan of the legendary Duke Nukem 3D game now, as the game has now been ported to the iPhone and is available to buy now for $3. Dont get too happy though, as it has been reported that the iPhone port suffers from a terrible control scheme, which somewhat spoils the Duke experience.
As reported from MacWorld, Duke Nukem for the iPhone has been ported by developers MachineWorld Northwest, and is essentially a straight port of the original 1996 classic.
Sadly, iPhone owners might want to pass up on the chance to ‘re-live the dream’ with Duke, as the game suffers from constant control problems. Furthermore, the iPhone version contains no multiplayer element whatsoever, plus theres not even any secret levels that made the game even more fun back in the day.
Problems aside, it might be considered a steal at $3 to many of you, so if you are looking to purchase this, it is available on both the iPhone and iPod Touch.
More details over at MacWorld.

The Duke is back! And here’s my take on translating it to iPhone:
-original game is all here including those dancing stippers.
-it still runs smoothly and textures were given a little polish here and there
-the music is still great
-the controls suck big time!
