Colors for Apple iPhone: Painting App

By: Jamie Pert | August 17, 2009 | Leave a Comment

A new application is now available for iPhone from the App Store, the application is a painting app called Colors. Colors was originally released on the Nintendo DS two years and allows users to make extremely unique images, some creations can be seen here.

According to an article on Macworld, Colors is not perfect however the functionality it offers is impressive for a handset application. One of the main annoyances of the App is said to be that it is a little sluggish which isn’t too surprising as graphics applications do usually use a lot of system resources.

One of the best features that Colors offers is the gallery, you can create images and upload them onto a social gallery, this gallery also allows you to view other peoples creations and even replay their creations stroke by stroke.

The application will run on iPhone and iPod Touch providing you are running OS 3.0, if for some reason you are still running OS 2.1 you can run a lite version of Colors. If you would like to try colors you can download a free trial, which limits functionality however gives you a good look at the app. If you are impressed by the trial the full version of Colors is $5 at the App Store.
