Adobe’s Next Photoshop Lightroom: Intel-based Mac’s only

It seems that future versions of Adobe’s Photoshop Lightroom for Mac OS X will only be available for Intel-based machines, support for Mac’s using PowerPc processors is starting to fade out especially with Apple recently announcing that they are discontinuing support for Macs using PowerPc processors.

Adobe Photoshop Lightroom is an application for editing images and cataloguing them, the Lightroom product manager Tom Hogarty had this to say on the matter “The next full version update of Lightroom will not run on PowerPC-based Mac computers”.

It seems as if the rest of Adobe’s programs which include Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere, DreamWeaver, and Flash Professional will all be following suit in future versions.

Do you feel four year old hardware should not be supported by future Mac software?
