EA Sports MMA: Randy Couture announced for Xbox 360, PS3

Good news for MMA fans now, as five-time MMA champion Randy Couture has just been announced for EA’s upcoming MMA game. No specific dates have been revealed for the Mixed Martial Arts title yet, but we do know its expected sometime in 2010 for the Xbox 360 and PS3.

As reported from VG247, the official announcement of Randy Couture follows on from appearances of other fighters such as Fedor Emelianenko and Jay “The Thoroughbred” Hieron.

Couture, is considered to be a legend in the MMA world and the 6’1”, 220 pound heavyweight currently holds a 16-9 record. He also had a few words to say, taken from EA’s official press statement:

“I have been a part of MMA for over 10 years and I am excited about the global visibility that a game like EA SPORTS MMA will bring to the sport. Like my fighting career, I look forward to taking on all comers in EA SPORTS MMA.”
