For those of you hoping to pick up a Sony PSP Go console, we have found some very useful information about the system’s hardware and firmware features that you might like to know about.
As detailed in this Eurogamer article, the PSP Go is set to launch with a brand new firmware. This firmware is said to be v.5.70, while we have also learned of some of the features in some of the system’s menus that you should be aware of.
One change made between the old PSP and new, is that Network Update will now be changed to System update. Under System Settings, you’ll now find a ‘Your Birth Date’ option, “Display Panel Close Option” and a ‘Enter Sleep Mode’ option.
Interestingly, Eurogamer report that Battery Information has now been removed, but there are now various options all to do with the PSP Go’s Bluetooth features.
Another big change is that the PSP Go will no longer make use of the old USB cable for connecting, instead Sony have preferred to use a wider, thinner connector for the console.
More details over at Eurogamer, let us know if you are planning to pick up a PSP Go on launch day (October 1st).

Totally Getting it, I just wish it had some way of telling you how long you have been playing a certain game etc… like on the Wii. Anyways I’m not to pleased by them taking away the battery info, I always looked at that before I was going somewhere to see if it needed to be charged. Oh well, can’t wait!!!
