Zune HD: New Release Date?

You may have read our post yesterday discussing the Zune HD’s price and release date, in this post we stated that sources believed that the Zune HD will be released on September 8th, it turns out this release date was a week premature and is now expected September 15th.

Two reliable sources now state that the Zune HD will be released on September 15th, the original source was Engadget who’s article showed an ‘official’ Zune HD box showing some text saying “Pick up your Zune HD on September 15th,2009”, this box looks legitimate enough and can be seen here.

The other source stating the same release date was Buy.com, who did have a Zune HD countdown timer on their site, this countdown timer was set to finish on September 15th however during me writing this post the page was removed. Whether this is because the date is still not officially announced is hard to say.
