T-Mobile- HTC TouchPro 2 price revealed

Following the recent review of the T-Mobile HTC Touch Pro 2 a price has now been announced for the handset. The T-Mobile HTC Touch Pro 2 will set you back $349.99 and that is as part of a two-year deal.

A price to buy the handset outright has not been announced yet hower it will probably be near on double of the price of two year deal version, so somewhere around $600 - $700 (this figure could be wrong, and is only based on the usual price differences).

The review for this handset has come back pretty good, Engadget named it as probably the leading Windows Mobile handset available in the US. The $349.99 price tag will probably drop considerably once all they hype surrounding the handset had died down. Check out Engadget’s article here.

Would you spend $349.99 on this handset as part of a two year deal?

This is ridiculous!! the best selling phone in the world is an Iphone. If you are an AT&T customer it costs you $200 for an upgrade. T-Mobile finally releases a decent windows mobile phone and they want to charge their customers $350 excuse me $349.99!! i have been with them for 7 years and this makes me want to break my contract and switch to Verizon or AT&T!!

$350 is outrageous. I waited on this instead of switching to an iPhone. I’ll be with AT&T by the end of September. I get the feeling I’m not alone.

The iPhone is not the best selling phone in the world - the BlackBerry Curve is.
But yeah, $350 is pricy. But if you’re paying a mere $34.99 for Unlimited Interenet Email and Text Messaging with the Touch Pro 2, you’re paying a lot less over the life of your contract than you would with the iPhone and the ridiculous rates on AT+T’s data plan.

  4. Bain says:

Yeah, I waited too like an idiot and will now be leaving T-Mobile as soon as I can select a carrier. I’ve waited for them to get a decent 3G phone and when they do they try to rape us on the price. You’d think having such a terrible lineup of 3G smart phones they’d want to give a fair price to their customers to get the word out that things are changing with them and maybe draw in more customers. Instead they make the current ones want to leave.

  5. Earl says:

Brian is correct. The Curve outsold the iPhone.
$350 is too much money considering the lack of coverage you will get out of T-Mobile. Their rate plans are nice but I am not sure of their data speed. I think it is spotty at best. I don’t think a traveler can rely on a T-Mobile service compared to Verizon, ATT, or Sprint. I still love my Pre!!
If only Palm would get their app store in gear all would be sweet.

It’s the best selling WINDOWS MOBILE unit. Not best selling phone overall. Read carefully. Anyway, I wish T-Mobile had better 3G phones as well, however, I’ve friends in sprint and att and PalmPre’s and IPhone 3Gs and the Pre’s are blowing away the Iphones because Iphone’s battery is worthless. You have to shut everything down on the Iphone in order to keep from having to charge it every 30mins. A friend who works for ATT in the fiberoptic servicing sector returned his 3Gs cause that’s what he was told, “Shut this down, turn that option off…” So basically they say in order to have an Iphone 3Gs experience you need to turn your phone off. ha ha ha
