When Apple tells us on their ads that the iPhone has an app for everything, they were not kidding. There is now an app for those who wish to quit smoking, I wonder if I put it on my iPhone, my wife will take the hint to give up this bad habit.
The application is called My Quitline and the best part is that it is free. The app is available in either English or Spanish and allows the user to send an instant message or to speak directly over the phone with someone who is trained to help and advice you in giving up smoking.
These counselors are from the National Cancer Institute Quitline and are recommended by the 2008 Public Health Service Guideline to be an effective way for those who wish to give up smoking.
If you are serious about giving up smoking and have an Apple iPhone, then you should give the My Quitline app a go, as it is free. Smokeen.com understands that this app cannot help everyone, but it is good to know that there is a professional counselor waiting to help you give up this bad habit.
