Modern Warfare 2 Map Packs: Infinity Ward Talk DLC

According to a report on the MTV Multiplayer Blog it seems that it is likely that Modern Warfare 2 will have two map packs released, the reason for these map pack releases is said to be because they give a game a longer shelf life, this is evident on Call of Duty World at War which has had 3 map packs released, with another one maybe on its way.

Although there are only currently two map packs talked about it seems that Infinity Ward are not ruling out the possibility of more map packs in the future, if you head over to the MTV Multiplayer Blog you can see an email Infinity Ward sent to MTV regarding download content for the game.

Do you feel that Infinity Ward are in a way exploiting the games popularity by supporting all of the games by releasing multiple map packs? Or do you feel happy that these map packs extend the games shelf life?

    Treyarch developed world at war. Infinity ward developed Call of duty 4: Modern warfare, which only had 1 map pack

    They should definitely make some new maps!!It adds life to a game when you are tired of playing on the same maps…
    In other words it’s like you buy a new game all together with the advantage that you will have more skills’ at it!!
    Anyways just my opinion…

    im wating for that map pack its better they should add more EMBLEMS AND TITLES THAT WOULD BE COOL AND IM MAD BECAUSE ON THE AMERICAN BRAZILIAN AND CANADIAN FLAG U CAN RANK THOSE TITLES UP AND NOT THE MEXICAN FLAG THERES MANY MEXZ THAT PLAY THE GAME TOO AND I WOULD HAVE LIKE THAT U COULD PRESTIGE THE MEXICAN FLAG TOO BUT CANT WAIT TO BUY THE MAP PACKS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! MAYBE NEW TITILES AND EMBLEMS???? THAT WOULD BE AWSOME

    Shipment, Overgrown, Vacant and Crash are supposibly the first map pack, and that its also coming out march 1st. that is if the leaks are true. they are taking the best from cod4 first then after they will put their newer maps in.

    march 31st or the 30th is the map pack and its is 3 new game modes and 5 maps 2 of which are re makes of older ones
