With the recent bad press SUV’s have had in the US due to the Cash for Clunkers program, it would seem mad for a foreign manufacturer to start importing new five door wagon into the country, however this is what Acura seem to be planning on doing with their Acura TSX five-door wagon.
This is due to the fact that many manufacturers are currently selling a lot these wagons such as BMW’s 3 and 5 Series wagons, Mercedes-Benz’s C-Class wagons, Audi’s range of wagons and even Caddy’s CTS wagon. This certainly leaves room for a Japanese luxury wagon, perhaps the Acura TSX five-door could fill this gap.
Acura have not yet confirmed whether they will begin launching this model in the US, however it does seem likely, as more information is revealed we will keep you posted. Head over to AutoBlog for full details.
