Sony have now started to take pre-orders for its new Party-shot dock, the digital camera dock that can pan 360 degrees and tilt by 24 degrees by detecting face movement. You can now see this new device in action thanks to this video from Crave.

The Party-shock dock allows a digital camera to dock on to the device and will then adjusts composition and take photos while you move around. This is done by using the camera’s BIONZ™ image processor along with the above-mentioned Face Detection and Smile Shutter feature.

This device makes it much easier to capture natural expressions rather than false ones when trying to take them yourself. You and your friends can also join in and as it comes with a tripod, you will not have to hire an expensive photographer anymore.

As we mentioned above, the Sony Party-shot dock is now ready dor pre-order and will be released in September for $150.
