New Apple iMac: Next-Generation Features
By: Peter Chubb | August 10, 2009 | Leave a CommentThere are numerous reports regarding the next-generation Apple iMac, which Apple Insider has been looking into. There is rumored to be an inclusion of at least two features, but these are all just rumors as Apple has yet to offer any official news on these.
The first of these features is said to be what Mac users have included on their wish list, while the second is something that will cater for the audio/video semi-professional crowd. The first feature is thought to be Blu-ray, Apple has always stayed away from this format, but recent licensing changes now make it possible for Apple to include it in future devices, such as its next-generation iMacs.
Apple is also thought to bring a range of price reductions, something that will certainly go down well with consumers. The price reductions will most likely be for the new iMac range, much like what was seen in its range of MacBooks at WWDC.
Apple is also thought to be looking at the design of the iMac enclosure; this is a direct result of its recent 24″ LED Cinema Display, which Apple patterned back in October 2008.
