Gigabyte T1028X TouchNote: Price and Specs
By: Jamie Pert | August 10, 2009 | Leave a CommentGigabyte’s latest netbook / tablet hybrid is now available to purchase in Europe, it is called the Gigabyte T1028X TouchNote and is said to be retailing at €622 which is roughly the equivalent of $877. Many people believe that this price is steep for what seems to be a pretty average specification device.
The T108X TouchNote has an Intel Atom N270 (1.6GHz) processor, with the option for an Intel Atom N280 (1.66GHz) processor upgrade, why someone would upgrade for an extra 60MHz performance is beyond me. The TouchNote has 1GB of RAM as standard, with a maximum amount of 2GB which is said to be easily accomplished.
The TouchNote has a 160GB HDD, embedded HSPDA as standard, a 10.1” Touch screen display, 6.5 hour battery life, Intel 945GSE Express Chipset and runs Windows XP Home.
