FCC News: MOTONAV GC550 GPS Device
By: Peter Chubb | August 10, 2009 | Leave a CommentThe MOTONAV GC550 is the latest GPS device from Motorola and has recently been filed with the FCC. The websites shows off some great external images as well as the full manual for the GPS unit. The FCC had put the MOTONAV GC550 under all of the usual tests to make certain that it works fine.
When Engadget wrote this yesterday, there was no mention of it on Google, Bing or Twitter, which certainly seems strange. No doubt, the search engines will now pick up on all the other bloggers writing about the device and add it to their results.
Looking at the manual that appears on the FCC website, the device has a touchscreen and offers support for 3D mapping, Bluetooth pairing and voice command. There is also a microSD slot, which will probably be used for software updates.
The new MOTONAV GC550 GPS device from Motorola will also offer traffic and weather information. There are no details on pricing or a release date just yet.
