Der Riese Map Pack 3: Pack a punch machine and weapons

These are all of the weapons I have upgraded so far, and the effects that I have noted, there are probably more effects than I have listed, but I’ve only used each weapon once.

Note also that most of the weapons have an increased maximum capacity (generally doubled), except the colt, which is reduced in half, but it shoots grenades, so yeah.

Colt 45 => The Colt, when upgraded, shoots grenades, like in the suicide king Death Card.
FG42 => Increase in damage.
Gewehr43 = > Slightly faster top speed, and lots more damage.
M1A1 Carbine => Becomes automatic, and more damage.
M1Garand => Decreased recoil and increased shot speed.
MG42 => Increased damage.
.357 Magnum => Increased damage.
PPSh-41 => Increased damage.
Trench Gun => Holds 10 bullets per clip, increased damage, and reloads two bullets at a time.
Thompson => Increased damage.
PTRS-41 => The Penetrator
M7 Launcher => You can shoot 3 grenades before reloading (roughly at the speed of a regular garand shot), and Decreased recoil and increased shot speed.
Kar98k => As far as I can tell, 1 hit kill at round 20-ish, and 8 bullets per clip.
Ray Gun => Porter’s X2 Ray Gun
Wunderwaffe DG-2 => 6 bullets per clip, red electricity.

I forgot to add, the PTRS has 10 bullets per clip and increased damage.

As mentioned before
Ppsh-41 => The Reaper has increased damage larger clip, more damage, double tap. Gets 700 bullets max.
Type 100 => 1001 Samarais has much larger clip, also more damage.
Thompson => Gibs-O-matic seems to do more damage, faster firing and larger clip. Gets around 300 bullets max.
Trench gun => Gut Shot has more damage (pritty much 1 shot), increased range, reloads 2 shells at a time, can fire through multiple zombies (think i shot through 3 or 4 in a line), has a clip size of around 10.

I didnt find the thompson upgrade to be as good as the other guns when i did it. The Reaper is really nice.

MG-42 increase your carry capacity to 750 rounds (dont think it changes clip size) massively speeds up fire rate, but i didn’t notice much differnece in terms of damage (might just be me though)

Ok has anyone actually used the type-99? I have never seen it in the mystery box and cant get it. I saw somewhere that you have to do the fly trap achievement then find all the hidden bears and then the type-99 will come from the mystery box. Not sure if this is true, and I can only find 2 bears and the monkey in the fire. So never get to use the type-99. Has anyone got to use it? Can you tell me how to get the type-99. Thanks

I have used the type 99 but we completed fly trap then a m8 shot all the bears and monkey as i opened the box and got type 99 then but died shortly after on round 38.

the best weapon is the thompson ok. i savived 21 rounds with it

the best door to open first is the one up the steps to the door on the right leading to the thompson

Hi everyone.

Last night i played Der Reise at my friends house.
It was my first match on Nazi zombies and i think we played well. We got to round 21 with 3 people.

We would have got much further but one of my team mates ran out and died. I ran out of ammo with my upgraded MG (Baracuda) and with my colt.

Anyway i would like to say the MG-42 is great when it is upgraded and as is the Colt.

Getting a few bettys and monkeys will help you further and the buchers knife is a good step.

As i graduly built up my money to a very large total (as i didnt need any other guns) i bought all the perks. That helped too

its not butcher knife its a bowie knife

I personally still think the Garand w/ launcher is the best weapon if you are with a group of people. Me and my friends got to round 20, and I had twice as many kills as anyone else in the party with my grenade launcher.

Ok I did the fly trap, and I shot the bear way up in the window, and the bear in the box. Then I also shot the monkey in the fire. Then the girl voice says you win, game over. Then I did the mystery box like 20 times after that and never did I get the type 99. Have tried multiple times after too. Why dont I get it? Does someone have to be at the box right as someone else shoots the last monkey or bear? Or does it appear somewhere?

the trench gun upgraded is the best in my eyes… get that with a ray gun or mg42 and ur good. anyone wanna play? my xbl gamertag is .Idk how to wipe.

because there is one more bear..in the starting room you know that one window to the right of the teleporter that looks out onto an alley? you can see a shadow of one more teddy bear on the left wall. cant figure out how to get it though

Played at a friends house. Him and i got to level 21 after hitting pack a punch 3 times each. Upgraded MG-42 and Type 100 for him and MG-42 and PPsh for me. we found those to be the most effective in taking out multiple zombies when cornered. Best stragety we came up with was to move through door at the top of the ramp around the beginning of level 4 (knife all zombies to get +130 points after shoothing them 5 times up to when you move). Make your way past the trench gun and up the stairs to clear the debrie. on left one person grabs Beties, then both move off the ledge to the box. LEAVE POWER OFF!! make a stand and hit the box untill you aquire good guns (note: FG-42 is through the doorway on left). Next move back once you have 4250+ points and get Bowie Knife. activate power and link teleporter C. hold out a few rounds, then move around (after leaving one zombie alive) and activate all other teleporters, hit pack-a-punch, and let the slaughter commence =)

the wuderwaffle gets increase clip size to about 12 and does a tonn of damagee. its definatly wha u need

the type-99 is in one of the telepoter rooms on a wall… the ppsh(reaper) is really good and the MG. the first gun i upgraded was the trench gun(gut shot) and its cool but it becomes weak very fast, like round 21 it becomes 2 hit as does the upgraded ray gun.. i think the upgraded ray gun actually gets weaker in the later rounds.. Monkey Bombs ROCK SOCKS!!!

hi got mp3 yesterday n fort it was really hard dint manage to upgrade any weapons but looking forward to it-used the bower its awsome lol try double barreled/trench/monkeybomb/bower

I suggest the PPSh and green gun or trench gun both upgraded with all the perks. DO NOT GET THE FLAME THROWER AND UPGRADE. It does not do much better than the regular gun.

I have gotten the browning upgraded accelerater and it clip size stay same power increases faster fire rate and it can be extremely good with speed cola otherwise the slow reload will get you.also the m1a1 carbine kicks ass. I upgraded rocket once and it kicks ass kind of useless later on as the get real close to you lol..

Also, I’ve heard rumors that sometimes the type 99 shows up as the type 100 in the mystery box until you take it out, but I’ve yet to confirm that the type 99 actually exists.

I personally like the upgraded ray gun and up graded PPSH with a Bowie Knife. Thee PPSH runs out of ammo pretty quickly even with the larger clips. The ray gun is pretty awesome too.

the type 100 is the 1001 samurias and it has a clip of 60 bullets and 220 carrying ammo i thought it was not much different because it ran out of ammo so fast, i would suggest the ppsh as the reaper the ray gun or the wunderwaffe. my teammates had the ray gun, trench gun, wunderwaffe, and the ppsh upgraded i only had the type 100 because it is harder to make crawlers on levels above 20. anyway we got to round 24 with three people

alright here’s how this shit goes. you fight as long as you can with your pistol, grenades, and knife then you get to the random box and use all points and hope it doesnt screw you. If it does oh well if it doesnt then im guessing the best weapons are deployables at least you get speed reload first then juggernog then hold up in a corner rack up points and catch last zombie every round possible and alternate upgrading your current weapons and trying the random box some more, obviously the raygun wunderwaffe and monkey nades are the best combo. If you hold up where I hold up which is up the stairs from teleporter c which is behind where the random box is first then you can toss your monkey nades past the electric fence and run out and turn it on and keep throwing them past the fence until it goes down. other than that what else is there to do except last as long as you can, die, then restart the carnage. Btw I’ve been to round 40 using this strat.

The type 99 was a typo and the sawed off shotgun was acidentaly removed from the game. So all the rumers bout the flytrap r just rumors.

Some stuff you might not know:
You can play the song by going to all 3 jars with brains in them and pressing X/what ever you do to buy stuff on PSN (two are nere a staicase you need to go thru to get to m box and other is next to were you buy grenades)

also if you throw a monkey at the monkey in hide and seek you sais thank you now i have sum1 to play with, this may be quawicadince but after that i got a wonder, ray then mg42 in a row from the box followed by a teddy that said nothing.

you haveto upgrade colt and upgrade the type 100 then get the fly trap then get the teleports till a pack of dogs come (at about round 20) then go to the box and in about 1-5 tries at the random box you should get a type 99

hi ive survived 52 rounds with 4 people on mp3

my stratagy is
at round one use 4 shots then stab (all 4 of you get one window) but dont shoot or chuck granades in other peoples windows then at round 2 do the same but one a full clip and stab
when u run out of ammo (usually at round 3) get a Gewehr43 and just kill the zombies until round 4
at round 4 the 2 with the last points open the doors for 750 (trench gun side) and get the one with the 2nd most to open the stairs
after that everyone go to the box apart from the one with the most points who go’s to the bowwie nife door (catwalk) and then he can get a box
after round 4 or when everyone has got ok guns (e.g mp40 raygun thompson PPSH wunder waffle type 100 stg browning mg42 or any automatic gun) turn the power on
at round 5-7 dogs come so go to the ledge near the bowwie nife (catwalk) and kill the dogs. (i recomend you reload before you get max ammo)after dogs stay on that ledge (catwalk)and 2 people watch the staires comeing up as one watches the window
as the man who watchesthe widow is there one person stand next to him killing a few off the zombies running up near power (wonder waf good for that job) ass soon as it hits round ten leave a crawler and link all of the teleeporters and get jugganaught
as you have got that get a bowwie nife then go bac too the ledge
keep there until round 15 and leave a crawler and get pack o punch

stay there until round 23 then drop back to where the box sometimes appearsand keep goin until you die

it helps alot to have all pers monkey bombs and dog glitches

Round 30 With MG42 upgraded and Ray gun upgraded got soo bored went to the box and tried a hole round with flamethrower upgraded and panzershrak upgraded.

there is not a T99 in the game or DBSG sawed off but i love the colt COLT!!!!!!

what i found to be best (solo) is trench gun upgraded and also either grenade launcher upgraded or waffle i got to r 19 with that and i hav got to round 33 with 2 ppl one with upgraded ray gun and waffle (me) =D and my friend with ray and browning upgraded if ur planing on going a few rounds u need the ray gun as i found the mg and browning run out mostly every round when ur 22+

what are you talking about the ray gun does nothing in the higher levels go with the ppsh 41 or mg42

cant find any bears but if you check the shadow at the window at the start looking up a ramp towards outta the map check the shadow(s)? and you should see a distinctive shape… go find out coz i aint gonna tell ya! GOOD LUCK!

best stragey (mine) is to hold in main area till end of wave 4 (get a crawler) then open the doors leading to the thompson (get it!) and hold till wave 6. (again down a crawler) then buy stairs and (with 4 players) 2 head for mystery box and power while other 2 cross catwalk and hold it till other guys reach ya and then head past bettys till ur in the corner which has break in the wall and hold there until wave 10. when you reach that round break for the mystery box and hold there. got to wave 59 like this

I have mp3 4 PS3 it is great, so im typing this while i play. some1 made a crawlie. I have bowie nife, baracuda,tommy not upgraded and am on L17. also 11500. just upgraded panzie. it is now longinus with 3 shots, max ammo 30, reloads 3 at a time and shoots semi automatic

u guys are all noobs and suck at the game. jk

I recommend the reaper and flame thrower. The flame never runs out and the reaper used for close quarters. Got to level 31 and then screwed up by crawler.

i get to lvl 28 with upgrade ray gun and MG-42.

Got past round 8 with the colt, pack a punched, got bored, suicide. in that order.

i got past round 4 with colt and it was out of ammo
