Cheap Samsung Android phones coming in 2010
By: Daniel Chubb | August 7, 2009 | 1 CommentCheap Samsung Android phones coming in 2010? Well at least that’s what Samsung has seemingly implied when talking to the New York Times this week. Senior product development manager at Samsung, Casey Ryan reportedly said “By next year, touch-screen phones, with full Web browsers running the Android operating system will be available for well under $100.”
Whether this is what Casey Ryan believes will eventually happen to the Android market by next year or whether this an actual statement of what Samsung hopes to achieve themselves by next year is still unclear, but either way this is definitely a step in the right direction for the Android market.
At current there are no Android handsets officially available to the Pay as you go market, but it looks like we could now see a change to this in 2010. If Android phones do indeed drop below $100, will you be buying one? Let us know here at Product Reviews!
