Amazon have just announced that they have released their mobile application for Android handsets. It follows the same release for iPhone and BlackBerry, so now Android users will be able to get their Amazon fix on the go.
As reported from IntoMobile, the Amazon mobile app offers customers a great choice and variety of products in over 40 categories. Aside from that, there are thousands of separate merchants for you to buy from, just as you would online.
Another useful thing about the mobile app, is that customers will be able to get all their online account details up on the screen, allowing you track orders, view your current shopping cart and so on.
IntoMobile also reports that the app makes use of your handset’s camera to ‘remember’ products as you shop, while there is also support for barcodes which is good.
More details over at IntoMobile, you can download the app here.
