A video has emerged on Engadget showing a link between Nintendo’s Wiimote and an Apple iPhone. The connection was made possible apparently thanks to the portable Bluetooth stack from the BTStack project. The video can be seen at the end of this post, or on Engadget.
The paired devices allow the Wiimote to be moved around in all different ways, and an exact representation of the Wiimote follows the movements on the iPhone screen. The first time I watched the video I thought it was fake, but after the second time the movements are so identical it surely cant be fake.
There are a lot of difference ways this technology can be used, perhaps developers will use it to make more Wii like games for the iPhone, who knows, how would you like the connection of the iPhone and Wiimote to be used in the future? Feel free to add your ideas below.
