Fring 3.40 now supports Samsung S60 phones
By: Jamie Pert | August 6, 2009 | Leave a CommentFring have updated its version of its Symbian client, previous to this it was used primarily on Nokia handsets, however this update (Fring 3.40) allows the software to run on Samsung S60 smartphones, including the Omnia HD.
For those of you who don’t know what Fring is, it is a peer-to-peer VoIP service for mobile phones, it allows users to chat via such applications such as Skype, GoogleTalk, Windows Live Messenger etc. The service has been live since 2007 and uses 3G, GPRS and WiFi internet connections.
Not only does this release allow more Symbian handsets to use the service but it has also has apparently smoothed out all known bugs in the software. Check out IntoMobile for full details.
