The Shack (aka RadioShack): Place to buy mobile phones
By: Alan Ng | August 5, 2009 | Leave a CommentIt has been reported that RadioShack are planning a huge reinvention to their store in order to overturn a decline in sales. These include a change of brand name and a regular place to buy mobile phones.
According to BusinessWeek, RadioShack are planning to change their name to ‘The Shack’. A new marketing campaign is underway, with TV, print and online ads all bearing the new brand name.
The company are also planning to sell T-Mobile mobile phone handsets in their stores as part of a deal that was secured in July. It looks as if the company intend to focus on mobile phones from now on, with T-Mobile added to the list of Sprint, AT&T, Nextel, and Alltel handsets available at ‘The Shack’.
