Microsoft’s new keyboard and mouse for Windows 7

Microsoft have announced a new device to accompany their Windows 7 OS, this is a new keyboard and mouse called “The Wireless Comfort Desktop 5000”. This keyboard comes with special keys for use in the upcoming Operating System.

There are a few new keys such as Windows Flip which allows you to see a thumbnail of all open windows, Device Stage which allows you to carry out “common tasks” (not sure exactly what this means yet). The keyboard also features keys which correspond with items on the taskbar, such as the integrated Internet Explorer and Media Player which unless customized always sit on the taskbar.

The new keyboard and mouse is expected to retail at $80 and should be available later this year, probably around the time of the Windows 7 release (October 22nd).
