Windows Mobile 6.5 vs. Apple iPhone OS: Microsoft Comments
By: Jamie Pert | August 4, 2009 | Leave a CommentAccording to a report on Mobile Entertainment the new Windows Mobile 6.5 OS (Now known as Windows Phone) will provide a better browsing experience than the iPhone, however the claim has been made by a Microsoft employee, therefore is probably biased.
The president of Microsoft’s entertainment and devices division Robbie Back is who made the claim, he said “You will have a very rich browsing experience on 6.5 devices that will give you access to more websites than you will be able to get to on an iPhone that will work actively and work well,” and also added “It really is a much better experience.”.
Obviously one thing that Windows Mobile 6.5 will have that Apple’s Safari doesn’t support (iPhone versions of the browser) is Flash support, as Apple are holding out for HTML5. Its quite hard to say what the web experience will be like on Windows Mobile 6.5 however early indications look good.
