Well we have new e-book readers from Sony on the horizon it seems, and not only that but we have their full specifications thanks to littlelionfish on the Hi-PDA forums who grabbed everything they could from J&R who slipped up and posted up both products and their specifications on their website. One of the readers wields a 5” eight-level gray scale display while the other wields a 6” equivalent.
The Sony PRS300-RC with the 5” display comes in at $199 while its bigger brother, the PRS600-SC with the 6” comes in at $299. Both models come with 512mb of in-built memory which will be able to hold up to 350 of your favourite e-books and with a battery good enough for over 7500 page turns, these devices are indeed any e-book readers friend, an essential tool! The larger of the two models comes with some snazzy features including touch screen for you to turn pages with your finger, take notes and doodle, and also it has a virtual keyboard which helps searching for and picking out your favourite e-book a breeze.
Both models are compatible with both Mac & PC. Personally we prefer the look of the smaller version with its much sleeker appearance and we think this will be the Mac users choice of e-book reader as it suits the style, also the smaller model is a lot more portable and comes in at a few oz. lighter that it’s larger brother, plus with the added bonus that it is a whole $100 cheaper than its bigger brother. We think the smaller PRS300-RC will be the e-book reader’s choice of tool in 2010, and with any luck these models will go live for the Christmas period.
So, which model do you guys/gals think sounds better, and which would you buy if given the choice? Let us know here at Product Reviews!

Since I get $100 back from SONY using the SONY Card on purchases of $299 I will go with the $299 and end up paying $199
