StarHub, the Singapore operator is now in a position to offer its subscribers an improved mobile broadband experience. StarHub has now expanded its 3G core network; users will now notice that data speeds have been increased offering smoother mobile surfing.
According to IntoMobile, this increase in speed has been through the hard work of Nokia Siemens Networks, as they have expanded their network capacity. The company has done this by implementing a flat network architecture. This latest expansion has also strengthened StarHub’s HSPA+ (High Speed Packet Access), which can now offer speeds of more than 21 Mbps.
This is just the latest operator to upgrade to 3.75G; well they certainly have the capacity to do so now. More operators are now offering this service, with more due in the next 1 to 2 years; this is seen as the next step towards LTE.
