Lotus supercharger kits for NA Elises and Exiges

Lotus has announced the release of a supercharger kit for both NA Elises and Exiges models. These kits are legal in all 50 U.S. States. These are the same superchargers that are used in the production Elise SC; they can be installed on a standard Elise or Exige that have the Toyota 2ZZ-GE engine.

These supercharger kits will increase the power from 189 HP to 218 HP, the torque also increases from 133 ft.-lbs. to 155 ft.-lbs. AutoBlog also explains that the increase in torque is available from a much lower 5,000 rpm instead of 6,800 rpm.

This allows a Lotus driver to have a much broader power band when they are navigating round twisty roads. To get hold of these supercharger kits, you will have to take your Elise or Exige to authorized Lotus dealers in Canada or the United States.
