Is the PS3 Slim real or fake?

Well this is indeed the story that never ends, well until Sony confirms it anyway. The question that keeps passing most console gamers lips at least once a week, “Is the PS3 Slim real or fake?” Ever since images surfaced in the weeks running up to E3 people presumed that this was some kind of PR stunt from Sony, but many months on and the same question are still being asked after Sony failed to pull it out of their hat (which was apparently quite deep on the night). Well more evidence has emerged which may suggest the Slim is indeed on the cards.

The Engadget site reported that the German Amazon site posted up a “PlayStation 3 Konsole Slim” product last week. The Amazon page was promptly removed and the link now just provides you with an error 404 page. Could this be the first real reputable source providing us with evidence of the inevitable launch of the PS3 Slim in time for the Christmas market?

After this latest news and the news of the PS3 Slim video that a GameTrailers employee confirmed was genuine that we reported back earlier in July, the evidence for a PS3 Slim is mounting up.
