Cash for Clunkers Bill: Speaking Out
By: Alan Ng | August 4, 2009 | Leave a CommentEarlier on, we reported on the Obama administration speaking out on the proposed extention to the Cash For Clunkers program. Now we have some more news for you to read now, as it has been reported that members of Congress have started to voice their opinions on the bill.
According to this article from KansasCity, the members of Congress are strongly against any extension to the Cash for Clunkers Bill.
As we also mentioned in our earlier post, its now up to the U.S Senate to take control of the program and decide whether the U.S House pouring $2 billion into the program is a step in the right direction or not.
An alternative suggestion would be to keep the Cash For Clunkers program running, but with a reduced benefit of $2000 per vehicle. If Congress decide to change the rules though, it could mean that Auto owners face up to a much more restrictive deal.
