Nintendo DSi firmware update kills flash card compatibility
By: Alan Ng | August 3, 2009 | 5 CommentsIt has been reported that a recent firmware update to the Nintendo DSi has stopped compatibility of flash cards, in attempt to cut out software piracy that has been plaguing the system recently.
According to NintendoEverything, homebrew on the DSi is pretty popular over in Europe and Japan, so users are advised not to update their systems if you want to carry on with your business.
It has been reported that since the update, flash cards such as the AK2I, iPlayer, EZVi, and M3Ri are said to be not working. So looks like Nintendo have found a solution to the piracy, for the moment at least.
