Guitar Hero 5: Xbox 360 Avatars Playable Within Game

Both Activision and Microsoft have confirmed recently that avatars featured on the Xbox 360 will be playable in the next installment of the popular Guitar Hero franchise. Guitar Hero 5 is scheduled for a September 1st release on Xbox 360, PS3 and Nintendo Wii.

As reported from Play, Guitar Hero 5 will feature around 85 tracks on disc, which is a record for any game in the genre. Add to that the DLC content that will come along every week and you’re talking about a serious amount of content for this game.

In an attempt to make the game more sociable, Activision have stated that players will be able to mix and match lineups between Guitar Hero characters and Xbox 360 avatars.
