Google Voice for iPhone: FCC Probes Apple’s Rejection

Following the recent rejection of Google Voice for Apple’s iPhone, the Federal Communications Commission recently launched an investigation into the rejection. The rejection of Google Voice has caused quite a stir and so far has seemed pretty unjustified.

The FCC sent letters to Apple and AT&T, these letters asked why Apple had rejected Google Voice for its iPhone and also why it had pulled many other Google Voice related applications from its App Store. You can view the FCC’s letter by downloading the PDF here. Other questions asked AT&T what input they had on Apple’s iPhone application approval, and also asked for more information regarding the application approval process.

No answers have yet been announced from Apple and AT&T, however we will keep you posted as more details emerge. Check out ComputerWorld for the two page article.

Do you think Apple will allow Google Voice in the future?
