Microsoft change Windows Mobile Brand to Windows Phone
By: Alan Ng | July 31, 2009 | Leave a CommentIt has been reported that Microsoft are planning to kill off their Windows Mobile Brand in favor of a new title. It is thought that the company have decided to rename their brand ‘Windows Phone’. What do you make of it?
As reported from IntoMobile, the change will apply to all previous Windows Mobile powered phones. This means all phones with 6.x operating systems will now be known as Windows Phone.
It thought that Microsoft have decided to do this, to shy away from the bad press that Windows Mobile has recieved over the last few years. Perhaps they feel a new change is in order and consumers will call it a ‘fresh start’, if you will.
What are your opinions on the brand change?
