
LG’s new Super-slim HDTV’s : SL80 & SL90
By: Jamie Pert | July 31, 2009 | Leave a CommentLG have recently announced two new LCD HDTV ranges, they are the SL80 and SL90, these HDTV’s have “edge-to-edge glass displays” also they are said to have “Yahoo! NetCast internet connected widgets”.
The SL80 will be available in 42 inch, 47 inch and 55 inch models, they use CCFL backlighting and have a 150,000:1 contrast ratio, full 1080p HD video support and have so called invisible speakers.
The SL90 will be available in 42 inch and 47 inch models, it uses LED backlighting and is said to have an unbelievable 3,000,000:1 contrast ratio, the screen is just 1.15 inches deep, the SL90 HDTV’s also support full 1080p HD video and also have the so called invisible speakers.
The SL80 range should be available in August, and are priced according at $1,599.95, $1,899.95 and $2,799.95. The SL90 range are expected later this year, no official release date or price has been announced.
