Leica S2: 37 megapixel camera gets price and release date
By: Alan Ng | July 31, 2009 | Leave a CommentLeica have just confirmed a price and release date for their new S2 DSLR camera. It features a whopping 37.5 megapixel camera amongst other things and as you might imagine, the price certainly isn’t cheap.
As reported from Pocket-Lint, the Leica S2 will be available to buy from October for a staggering £16,000 ($26,440). Definately out of our price range then, only the super rich need apply for this camera. We’re looking forward to seeing what a 37.5MP camera can produce though, in terms of quality.
Just to let you know, Leica are also offering a additional sapphire glass monitor screen and a “Platinum Service” support package. That doesn’t come cheap either, as it will set you back a further £3100.
