Following all of the rumors regarding a new Verizon 4G network TheUnofficalAppleWeblog are currently running a poll, the poll asks the question What would you do if an iPhone 4G rolled out on Verizon? From what we can tell the 4G network should be up and running sometime in 2010.
At the time of this post the had received approximately 12,000 votes, the current results are as follows:
2254 (17.2%) had voted “My AT&T contract is up so I’ll leave AT&T and buy a new Verizon iPhone 4G”,
3350 (25.6%) had voted “I’ll wait until my contract with AT&T expires, then leave for Verizon”,
3470 (26.5%) had voted “I’ll pay the cancellation fee to AT&T and leave for Verizon”,
2317 (17.7%) voted “I’ll stick with AT&T and my current iPhone. If everyone else leaves, my network speed might improve”,
294 (2.2%) voted “I don’t have or want an iPhone — ever!” and the finally
1400 (10.7%) voted “You fools! I don’t live in the USA, so Verizon and AT&T are dead to me.”
To be honest the results so far are not really surprising, I expected a lot of people to upgrade regardless and I also expected some people to wait until their contracts expire, and these two options are what received the most votes.
