HTC Hero & Samsung Q Android Release Date: October 11
By: Peter Chubb | July 31, 2009
We have known about the HTC Hero & Samsung Q Android based handsets for some time now, but we have not had any details of their release date. Engadget tell us that a senior member from xda-developers forums has said that the release date for both cell phones will be on October 11.
The member has posted a picture as proof that the HTC Hero & Samsung Q will be coming to the U.S. on that date, he has been claiming this release date since April. If this date does turn out to be true, then we should start to take the member more seriously in the future.
This senior member looks as though he works for a wireless developer firm, Engadget does state that the picture could have been faked easily, but they seem to believe his release date. Another handset that is due for release on November 1 is the BlackBerry Aries; this is the replacement for the 8330.

What about the Hero that was tested on AT&T’s frequency?
Is the Samsung Q supposed to be the American version of the Samsung i7500 (Galaxy)? If so, I love Sprint again.
