Verizon’s New App Store will rival Apple’s

It has been reported that developers for Verizon’s new App store will be able to keep 70% of the revenue from sold apps. Verizon have said that they are aiming for a different approach to application approvals than what Apple are doing.

As reported from InformationWeek, Verizon recently released new details about their upcoming store, which they hope will go head-to-head with the Apple App Store.

Verizon are looking for developers to create native programs and Web-based applications, in a hope to appeal to a much broader audience. The store will be called ‘V Cast Apps’ and customers will be able to purchase apps with ease, even with the option of adding the cost of the app to your monthly bill.
