
Sky: 3D Channels Announced
By: Jamie Pert | July 30, 2009 | Leave a CommentSky have announced that they will be launching a new Sky 3D channel for its UK customers sometime in 2010, this will require a Sky+HD DVR box along with a 3D TV, these 3D TV’s should be hitting the shelves in 2010 too.
The new channel is a multi genre channel which will show movies, entertainment and sports. Sky have already trialed the system with some sports such as rugby, football, boxing and even stage performance of Swan Lake. It is thought that if this channel becomes popular they will expand into separate genre 3D channels.
There are no details yet on exact launch dates and prices therefore we will have to keep you updated as we find out more details. All Sky have said on the matter is that they will deliver those details “closer to the launch”.
