Sky: 3D Channels Announced

Sky have announced that they will be launching a new Sky 3D channel for its UK customers sometime in 2010, this will require a Sky+HD DVR box along with a 3D TV, these 3D TV’s should be hitting the shelves in 2010 too.

The new channel is a multi genre channel which will show movies, entertainment and sports. Sky have already trialed the system with some sports such as rugby, football, boxing and even stage performance of Swan Lake. It is thought that if this channel becomes popular they will expand into separate genre 3D channels.
