We earlier reported to you about a possible vulnerability for the iPhone which allowed users to exploit the SMS system. Now we are hearing reports about a separate issue for the iPhone, all about a possible virus which could be infecting the device.
According to OverClock, a customer walked into a GeekSquad store in Texas stating he had a problem with his iPhone. The problem occured when he opened up Safari, only to be prompted by an infection on his screen which wouldnt allow the browser to be closed.
Apparantly, the GeekSquad agent couldnt find a solution to the problem and when they contacted Apple about it, the company presumed it was an issue caused by jailbreaking the iPhone.
Have you had any similar experiences when attempting to open Safari on your iPhone? Drop us a comment below if you have.

This is not a virus. Check wikipedia for the definition of a computer virus. This is a trojan, it requires the user to be duped into downloading the software and installing it with an admin password. It does not replicate, you can’t catch it by visiting a website. It requires action on part of the user.
This is just a Scareware.

GeekSquad:
May as well take it into a Microsoft store.
Nonsense, please move along…..
Slow news day, eh…
Publish something more substantial otherwise you guys are just looking for hits with this kind of trash.
Because Apple opened up its interface for applications, it may have invited cyber-criminals into the iphone world as well. There is software, however, for mobile devices protecting them against viruses, spam, trojans, spyware and other malware. It works with the iphone, BB or PDA platforms.
