Acer: Android Netbook Still Coming
By: Jamie Pert | July 30, 2009 | Leave a CommentAccording to a report on PCWorld it seems that Acer are still on track to launch its new version of the Acer One netbook, this version of the Acer One will be running Google’s Android OS, and will perhaps give us a rough idea as to how Google OS base netbooks will run in the future, especially with Google Chrome OS pipelined for future netbooks.
Acer reiterated that the project was still on target for it’s release in the final quarter of this year following rumors emerging stating that the project had been delayed or changed. The Android based netbook will have a 10 inch display and an Intel Atom processor. Rumors also stated that the machine may be a dual boot netbook with both Windows XP Home and Android, Acer denied that this was the case.
As more details emerge we will keep you posted, check out PCWorld for the full details.
