Vodafone UK Wants Apple iPhone
By: Peter Chubb | July 29, 2009
Vodafone have been asking a lot just recently, first we learn that they would like to buy out T-Mobile and the second we now hear that, they want the Apple iPhone. Vodafone know that O2’s exclusive deal with Apple is about to come to an end, which is why they would now like to offer the iPhone to its customers.
According to The Guardian, Vodafone’s chief financial officer, Andy Halford, has said that they are keen to offer the iPhone to more of its empire. The world’s largest mobile phone operator already offers the iPhone in 11 countries, but not in Germany or the UK, which is seen as key markets.
Over recent weeks, speculation has intensified over who will get to offer the iPhone to its customers once O2’s exclusive deal with Apple ends. If you had the choice, which UK carrier would you like to see the Apple iPhone go to?
