New Final Cut Studio: Significant Update

Well if you’re an Apple owner and use Final Cut Studio, you will be pleased to know that Apple have today announced a gigantic update which brings over a 100 new features to the package including new versions of Final Cut Pro, Motion, Soundtrack Pro, Color and Compressor, and if that doesn’t get your creative juices flowing we’re not sure what will!

With Final Cut Pro being the number one professional video editing package with over 1.4 million users worldwide according to Philip Schiller (Senior Vice President of Worldwide Product Marketing for Apple), you can only begin to imagine how much stress will be placed on the servers when the update goes live, so our recommendation is get in there as early as possible before the crowds really hit the servers.

The new updates include Final Cut Pro 7 which expands the ProRes Codec Family to support most workflows, Motion 4 which includes enhanced tools like 3d Shadows and other visual effects, Soundtrack Pro 3 which includes new multi-track audio tools to streamline audio post production, Color 1.5 which will have better integration with Final Cut Pro with support for full colour resolution, Compressor 3.5 has been improved to make it easier to setup and customise export options. And then there are many more updates beside these mentioned above, overall it looks like a large and worthwhile update.
