Kodak Zi8 HD Pocket Camcorder: New Features

A couple of days ago, Kodak had announced the launch of the Zi8 HD Pocket Camcorder, which is to compete with the Pure Digital Flip MinoHD. This is their third model from the budget line-up. The Zi8 is a vast improvement on the previous Zi6 and the Zx1, thanks to its larger 2.5-inch LCD, 1080P recording, image stabilization and face tracking.

The new Kodak Zi8 HD Pocket Camcorder shares a number of features with previous models, such as its upright portable design. The software installed also makes it easy to upload your videos to YouTube as well as Facebook. The Zi8 also comes with a flip-out USB arm, allowing you to connect the device to your PC.

The new Kodak Zi8 is the first camcorder in its category to offer a microphone jack, which could come in handy for some users. According to camcorderinfo.com, the Kodak Zi8 will come in a choice of three colors, Black, Blue and Red. The small device will be launched in September and will have a price tag of $179.
