According to a report on BoyGeniusReport it seems that Barnes & Noble have reached a deal with AT&T, this deal allows free WiFi access in their stores across the country, the intention is that by offering this free WiFi it will allow free access to Barnes and Noble apps along with access to its huge 700,000 title eBook library.

The CEO of Barnes & Noble Steve Riggio released a statement saying “By providing no-fee Wi-Fi access, we are not only meeting our customers’ needs, but extending the sense of community that has always been in our stores.” he also said “This is a natural progression of our digital strategy to provide customers with more choices in how, when and where they want to read.”

Obviously it seems that Barnes & Noble see the importance of the digital era and are making efforts to market their apps and eBooks, check out BoyGeniusReport for full details including the full press release.
