Firefox 4.0 UI tailored to Windows 7

Well recently we got chance to see the nice GUI re-designs that the 3.7 Firefox update will introduce, and it’s quite nice, and it’s catering for all the main Windows operating systems (Windows 7, Windows Vista and Windows XP). Well we had barely got over that and they have already made public the details and images of the new GUI for the Firefox 4 overhaul.

And it appears as if the new Firefox 4 overhaul is a much larger change than that of the Firefox 3.7 update, but it does seem that they have taken inspiration from Google’s Chrome browser, but while still keeping the interface familiar so as not to put users into shock from such an epic change. The 2 main possible changes to be introduced are “a bookmarks widget as an upfront replacement for the bookmarks menu/bookmarks toolbar” and a combined stop/go/refresh button. Also Firefox intends to make this browser one of its most user customisable yet!

Baring in mind that these interfaces are still very much in the prototype design stage, it is looking very promising indeed, and I am sure any of the hardcore Mozilla fans will be jumping on the BETA the second it becomes available, and so will we right here at Product Reviews.

So what do you think of the new mockups for Firefox 4.0? Anything you don’t like? Anything you would add or change? Let us know here at Product Reviews!
