The Cash For Clunkers Program 2009 is already well under way and customers are anxious to take advantage of the deal, while some are confused over the details of the incentive program. The Federal program is designed to help drivers get a more fuel-efficient car, but it turns out that dealers are still trying to figure it all out.
Before you even think about taking advantage of the Cash For Clunkers Program 2009 program, you will need to read the fine print. News Channel 8 has been looking at this in closer detail, which you will be able to see in the video below.
The Car Allowance Rebate System (CARS) is now up and running, but as the governments computers are so overwhelmed with the new scheme, a number of dealers have not been able to sign up to the incentive.
Customers have also been getting annoyed, because even though we have been calling it Cash for Clunkers program, it seems that cars that seem like clunkers do not qualify. Watch the video report below.
