Cash for Clunkers Program 2009: List affected by mpg change

The Cash for Clunkers Program 2009 or Car Allowance Rebate System (CARS) is now well underway, but there is still much confusion over the new scheme. We know that the program has been put in place to entice drivers to trade in their old vehicle for cash to put towards a new car.

We recently mentioned about the complete list of vehicles that are eligible for the program, this has recently changed because the EPA have changed how they calculate the MPG value for vehicles. This could have an effect on the vehicle that you assumed would be eligible for the new Cash for Clunkers Program 2009.

The Examiner has been explaining that the amount of vehicles that have not found themselves eligible is equal to the amount that is now eligible. The EPA announced that around 100 vehicles were affected by this recent change.
