Cash for Clunkers Eligible Vehicles: Full List

We reported this morning that the Cash for Clunkers Program or CARS 2009 has now been made official; consumers have now been looking to see what the eligible vehicles are. Edmunds.com has compiled the full list of cars by searching through the vehicle database, which you can view here.

Edmunds.com have compiled the list by searching for vehicles that have a fuel economy of 18 mpg or less, the trade-in vehicles have to have a clean body and only averaged around 12,000 miles per year. The price that you will then receive is up to a maximum of $4,500.

The new car will have to offer a higher fuel-efficiency than the vehicle that you are trading in. The Cash for Clunkers Program is not just for cars, the program also covers SUV’s. There are so many pros and cons for this deal, but it is early days to tell how popular the program has been, as dealers are now only starting to embrace CARS.
