Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2: Rendering at 600p

It has been confirmed that Modern Warfare 2 will support a resolution of 600p, just like its predecessor. It means that once again, Infinity Ward have decided to choose a resolution that is sub-HD. After watching the first gameplay video though, does anyone really care?

As reported from GameZine, the full resolution of 1024 by 600 pixels will be the same on the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions of the game. Just to let you know, if the game was to run in high-definition, it would require Infinity Ward to add 307,200 pixels to the game.

We expect most of you have watched the gameplay video of the game and agree with us that the game is looking pretty stunning at the moment. With the news that it will run at 600p, does this really bother you? Take into consideration that the game will still aim run at 60fps as intended.

This is ******* bull! When I’m playing MW2 online, trying to aim at someone far away with iron sights, the blurriness is extremely annoying. You can’t tell what you’re aiming at! An increase in resolution would have been much appreciated.

I’ve gotten so used to watching Blu-rays in crystal clear 1080P, that when I start up a game of MW2 after a long time, it reminds me of N64 >:-|
