AT&T Samsung Solstice A887: Price and Release Date
By: Jamie Pert | July 29, 2009 | 1 CommentAT&T have announced that they plan to release the handset formally known as the Infinity on Sunday August 2nd, the handset is now called the Samsung Solstice A887 and allows you to experience similar functionality of a high end smartphone without having the huge price tag.
The handset has a full touchscreen qwerty keyboard, a 3 inch QVGA display, built in MP3 player, built in navigation, a fairly basic 2 megapixel camera, it supports up to 16GB removable storage via microSD it even has a widget toolbar which allows shortcuts for social networking. Check out full details on BoyGeniusReport.
The handset is $249.99 to buy outright, $179.99 as part of a one year contract, or $99.99 as part of a two year contract, the previously mentioned prices also include a $50 mail-in rebate. Obviously at this price its never going to offer some of the wow factors that the top end smartphones such as the iPhone, Palm Pre and HTC Hero offer, however in terms of a value to functionality performance you really cant complain.
Do you think the Samsung Solstice A887 is good value for money?
