Android Facebook App May Release This Week

According to Gizmodo we should soon expect to see an official Facebook application for the Android OS, this follows a lot of unofficial Facebook applications with have emerged for Android. The article seems to suggest we could possibly see the application some time this week, this fits in nicely with Facebook’s recent announcement to push mobile applications.

According to the sources mentioned on Gizmodo the new Facebook application is going to revolve more around stream and status updates, however these features don’t really compare to what the next iPhone Facebook application is said to offer. That said with the release of the first Android Facebook application, it should soon offer more and more functionality.
